Good evening folks!
About time I got out of the sun and back onto my blog :)
Tonight I thought I'd share with you my first attempt at flower soft! I'm thrilled at how this turned out, I found it very theraputic (but hey card making alone is theraputic right crafters?!)
I made this card for a very good friend of mine at work and she likes it so much that she is keeping it on her desk to cheer her up on "bad" days at work. That's a nice compliment on it's own - that she likes to look at my card :)
I wasn't too sure how this was going to turn out when I first started doing the wires to make the bouquet and thought this tiny little bits won't stick on and stay on - how wrong was I?! You can bend them and play about with them when they're dry and all the flower soft still stays on the wires. Love it! Here is a close up of the bouquet....
The papers I used are old 'hot of the press' papers that I've had for ages, I thought they complimented the colours of the bouquet rather well and just simply finished the card with mini punched and embossed butterflies stuck on with pinflair glue.
Thank you for taking the time and stopping to look at my work.
Love Louise x

One of my first pink phone charms/keyrings
Good evening everyone,
I thought I would share with you this phone charm/keyring that I have just made for my friends birthday. I've made a couple before and they were bought off me. It's been a little while but I'm back in the swing of things:-
These make lovely wee gifts and look great hanging on the end of your phone. Let the beading commence....
Thanks for stopping by. I'd love to know what you think. x

CBGM Challenge - Stripes and Spots (My first blog challenge)
This is my first challenge I'm entering since starting my blog a couple of weeks ago. And the first one I'm entering is over on Creations by GillM - Stripes and Spots
I hope you like how I've incorporated the stripes and spots into the challenge, I wanted to try something different and also at the moment I'm trying to do more male cards! I also wanted to not only have the stripes and spots on the background papers but incorporate it into the image too, and as soon as I remembered I had this stamp I thought it was the ideal image - jazzing up my golfer :) Thanks for stopping by x

Home Sweet Home
Good crafty afternoon!
Today I'm sharing my recent card with the stamp set I got for Christmas from Clarity Stamps. I adore this home set and love making cards with this stamp.
Most of you will probably be aware of the stamp sets of Barbara's at Clarity Stamps. I just love the sets with the large 'O' and this one is no exception. I stamped and embossed in gold the main home stamp and did some brayering work to make the hills and sky in the large O and round the background. After I worked on the Home I put a post it note over the Home part to do the hills and sky in the background. Then added the cute cat stamps - one at the side and one on the Home. Then I outlined the main image in a gold pen to make it pop out and look like it's stuck on the card on a white post it note - aha but it's not, it's all flat. I just added some wee bling dots at the top and bottom to finish it off. Thanks for looking, I'd love to hear what you think. x

Commissioned wedding card
Good evening all,
Tonight I'm sharing with you my latest card I've made which my dad requested for a wedding they were going to. For you crafters out there you'll know this is from Crafter's Companion template. I just love making these. Dad asked me for a "special" card - well what better "special" card than this type of one. I would be happy to receive one like this with the candles in it! The sentiment, I think, is from the new papermania range that was in one of the docrafts goody bags then just matt and layered and added some flowers and some punched and embossed butterflies.
I gave the card in a hand made box envelope too, well after all that work I don't want the card getting squashed in a bob standard envelope now do I?!

A quick lunch hour caricature
Well while I was sitting at my desk on my lunch hour the other day out of nowhere I decided to draw a quick caricature.... I have photos saved on my memory card of faces that would be good to caricature. I only had my notepad on me so the paper was very small and I ran out of room to exaggerate certain features. I think I could of gone a lot further with the drawing but ran out of room! But I'm quite pleased with how it turned out anyway, next time I'll draw him on A4 and really exaggerate his receding hair line!

Our Cleaner's semi retirement card
Good evening all,
I thought I would share with you the very recent card I made on behalf of my work to our cleaner who "semi" retired last Friday. I've had this paper nation decoupage for so long and what better card to use it for?! It was a big A4 card (it needed to be for everyone in the firm) and I had to warn people when they were signing it "DON'T LEAN TO HARD ON THE INSIDE OF THE FRONT COVER!" Well I couldn't have them squashing the card now could I?! Not after it took so long to do. So anyway, Nessie, our cleaner was thrilled with it, she was overwhelmed with all the messages folk had written inside, and even took me aside to say thank you alone for the card - hearing that makes it all worth while, I was very touched :) xx
